1985, Bicholim, Goa.
Samar Khanna and Suniti Saini, belonging to a small town Bicholim, had hoped for a dream wedding at the Mayem Lake. They were passionately in love. Their paths had crossed during a family wedding. It was love at first sight, when Samar Khanna set his eyes on Suniti Saini. He belonged to an elite class family of that town, while she was the daughter of a middle class man who worked in a gold worker’s factory. Samar was drawn towards her as a moth to a flame. Nevertheless she did not deny effect of his magnetic charm on her either.
They enjoyed one another’s company and spent hours, pouring their hearts out to one another. It was as if their bodies had met for the first time, but their souls were united from eternity. Mayem Lake was their favourite meeting spot, near which they had planned for a future together. Suniti wished to marry Samar in this very place, and raise their children in his beautiful house. She had even decided the colours for the walls and curtains of their home. The spark between them was evident for everyone around, and theirs was the most talked love tale in the town. Inspite of the opposition from Samar’s family for this union, he assured her a safe and promising life.
Just when Suniti was looking forward towards a future with Samar, fate separated them, leaving her devastated. She had vowed never to see him again, assuming that he betrayed her. Will their paths cross . . once again?
