When I was in the school premises one day, I came across a small confident girl, standing with her hands on her waist. While wondering who she was, what caught my attention is the fearlessness she carried on her face. Her sweet innocent face was an additional reason for my admiration towards her.
Later I realised she was in a Judo uniform. And this was the third reason why I admired her more. Her name is Veeral Chheda. I know her since she was so small, till date, when she is working at a professional level as a Sports Nutritionist. Nothing has changed in her. Its very difficult for any person to be the same as he or she was in childhood.
Circumstances, responsibilities change a person and might turn him or her into something else. But after chatting with Veeral recently, I was happy that she hasn’t changed as a human being at all.
There is no doubt about the students of the older generation regarding their respect and genuine care for their teachers. But few retain it after a span of several years. Veeral was a straight forward, carefree girl and the fearlessness she carried on her face made her stand apart from others. And she is still the same. I can say so from the chats we have.
Back in school, inspite of possessing the upper qualities mentioned, she was obedient, sensitive, empathetic and understanding too. Ever ready to help her teachers, she was and is a good human being. I give the credit of her persona to her parents who have moulded her in this way.
I have taught her sister Heeral and brother Kewal too. Both were equally responsible like her in the school days.
I pray that God grants her success in all that she does, blesses her with happiness, good health and also she gets what her heart asks for in life, always.
