Conclusion Of ‘The Lovers’ Part 16

During the birth of their third child, Karan was sitting close to Samiksha. This gave her the strength needed to bring their third child into this world. Karan witnessed the pain she was going through and he made a promise to himself, not to make her undergo through this, again.

After a gap of nearly 20 min,

Samiksha delivered the third child and their family was complete with the arrival of the three little angels. They were the proud parents of two girls and a boy.

Both Karan and Samiksha were in tears after seeing their third child. Karan asked Samiksha with gestures, about the other two. She signed towards the doctor to convey that the two kids are safe with the doctors. They looked at their symbol of their love with affection, and warmth. The nurse had to take the third baby for check up and certain medical reasons.

“Hmm . . . The names we had planned for our kids are so perfect Samiksha.”
She smiled at him and said,
“Yes . . . Mehr our first daughter, second Angel and our boy, Samik.”
“Samik is a unique name right? I doubt if anyone has kept it before”, said the proud father.

Karan smiled at Samiksha.

“I love you”, he told Samiksha in the most vulnerable manner, when she was safe back with him. Its said that, childbirth is a woman’s new or second life. And Karan had seen this phrase come true in front of his eyes.

He kissed her and said,
“Thanks for everything Sami. You have owned me for life. I promise you I will never, ever put you through this pain again.”
And Karan lost the control on his tears. Samiksha comforted him and said slowly,
“I am fine baby. Don’t worry. These are the symbols of our love Karan, and I am happy I gave them safely to you.”
“No, your safety is more important for me than anything else in the world Samiksha . . . I love you”.

Samiksha knew Karan

had been through a difficult time seeing her go through the process of childbirth. She just patted him on his cheek and gestured an ‘I Love You’ to her Karan.

“You know, we have two daughters and a son”, Samiksha told him with a broad smile.
Karan had the same radiant smile on his face.
“I will keep my son with me ok. You can keep your daughters with you”, she teased him.
“You keep all of them, and I will keep . . . you.”
Karan’s answer made Samiksha blush on the OT bed, turning her cheeks red.

After some time Rose, Jummy and Maria met Samiksha and Karan and they all welcomed the new treasure of joy to their lives.

The nurse came there with the doctor, and asked Karan and Samiksha,
“We need to talk. there is a minor problem.”
Both the parents were alarmed at the announcement.
“What is it? Any problem? The babies?”, Karan asked them.
“Actually, this is a rare case which happens with a newborn. Your two kids are healthy and safe but, the third child has an acute red blood cells deficiency. He needs a blood transfusion for stability, because of the low haemoglobin levels in his blood”, Dr. Angel told them.

Samiksha caught Karan’s hand, and he assured her all will be fine by keeping his on hers.

“Our baby will be safe right?”, asked Karan.

“Yes, but of course. There is a problem though. Actually the child is of AB +ve blood group. Unfortunately, we don’t have blood stock of this group right now. And your both blood groups are A +ve. We have asked other hospitals and blood banks, and hopefully we should get a positive response. Do you know anyone with this blood group in your family? Its highly recommended for better results. And I recommend, we should not waste time in this matter”, Dr. Angel asked them.

They started thinking of possible solutions, told their close friends, and informed Rose and Maria too about it.

After a while Rose said,.
Karan, Mervin’s blood group is AB +ve”.
Karan was in a dilemma. He knew Mervin’s intentions very well, but saving his child’s life was more important than anything else right now.
After having a talk with Samiksha, he decided to have a word with Mervin.

“I am in shock. How come my big brother remembered me today? Let me guess,” Mervin told with a sharp tone of sarcasm.
“Mervin, our differences can be resolved later. My child urgently needs a blood transfusion. Please keep this innocent kid out of what ever issues we two have”, Karan pleaded to Mervin.
A man like Karan was never used to bend in front of opportunistics like Mervin, but the shouldering the responsibility of fatherhood, made him do this.

“Karan,

I don’t mind doing this. But you know everything comes with a price tag in this world. I mean . . .”
“What ever you want. Don’t even name it. Come with me right now Mervin, please,” Karan interrupted him.
“Alright then. Its a deal”, Mervin told with a smile and they left for the hospital.

The formal procedures were completed and Mervin was taken to the donation room. After completion of the process, Mervin came out and looked at Karan. Strangely he asked him, where were the kids, and the child who needed the transfusion.

Karan wanted to ignore this request, but he refrained and took him to the ward where his two kids were kept. Then later, he was taken to the critical unit, where the third child was kept.

Mervin looked at his face, and his heartbeat skipped a bit.

The angelic face of the child, his tiny delicate fingers, his purity at once melted Mervin’s heart. Unknowingly, he had tears in his eyes. He wiped them instantly, but something inside him had changed, after the heavenly visual he saw just now. Karan was surprised to see this soft side of his cousin.

He blessed the child

and left from there with Karan.
“You can tell me what you need and I will ensure that its fulfilled.” Karan told Mervin as soon as they came to the waiting room.
“You go to your child. He needs you. We will talk later”, Mervin told and walked away from there.
He turned back and said,
“In case, my help is needed, I am there.”

Karan was in shock after hearing these words.

A proper procedure of blood transfusion was done. Karan and Samiksha’s child was out of danger now.

After three days, Samiksha got discharged from the hospital.

The beautiful family of Rose, Maria, Karan and Samiksha had four new additions. Their three beautiful kids, and Mervin.
Yes, Mervin was now a part of their family, as he had discovered the power of love, through his newborn nephew.

Samiksha and Karan

thanked the Universe for everything. They looked at the sky at night, sitting cosily in each other’s arms.

“The Universe grants what ever you ask with a pure heart, right Karan?”
“Absolutely. The ups and downs in our lives made me think, would we ever unite? But what is destined for us, happens, no matter what.”
“Yes. You are right Karan”, Samiksha snuggled in his arms.
“Where are the kids?”
“Mehr and Angel are with our momsies, and Samik is with his uncle.”
“Hmm. So I have you all to myself tonight. No disturbances right”, Karan whispered in Samiksha’s ear, and hugged her.
“I am all yours, now and always”, and Samiksha hugged her Karan, losing herself in his warm, safe embrace.

The night was fragrant from their love, can you all smell that ? 🧡😍😍
